The original vision for The Hellenic House Project was inspired by celebrated chef George Calombaris, whose passion for the flavours, traditions and generosity of the Mediterranean helped shape the soul of this home. His idea was simple, to create a place that feels like stepping into a true Hellenic house where food is shared, conversations flow and everyone feels welcome at the table.

Today, The Hellenic House Project continues that spirit under the care of its new owners George Anagnostakis and Alexandra Meli, together with their family. George, who was born in Greece, brings with him a deep connection to the traditions, flavours and hospitality that define Greek culture. Together they are proud to continue the story of this special house while bringing their own warmth and energy to the table.

Inspired by our Greek Australian upbringing, our home brings together the traditions we grew up with and the contemporary way we love to gather today. The food is simple, honest and generous, just as it would be served in a Greek family kitchen.

An authentic Hellenic home feels warm, lived in and relaxed, somewhere to slow down, share a meal and feel completely at ease. That is the feeling we hope you experience every time you walk through our doors.
